Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

The lymphatic system is a central component of the immune system and protects the body by draining and filtering out waste and anything we can do to encourage vital and active lymph drainage is an important component of your health. The causes of lymphatic congestion range from injuries, surgery, inactivity, and poor diet, to emotional/stress states, environmental toxins, hormone imbalance, and normal aging processes. When this state occurs the blockages cause a backup in the flow of lymphatic fluid, resulting in swelling or edema in the tissues and various kinds of “symptoms.” Consequently, toxic waste matter cannot effectively be released from the body, nor can the immune system function at optimum performance, the result can be a wide range of dysfunction and disease.

It's main function is to collect and return interstitial fluid, including plasma protein to the blood, thus helping maintain fluid balance to defend the body against disease.

Lymphatic therapy in spite of its understated and delicate technique is a very gentle, non-invasive treatment that has been found to deliver amazing results. By using the Lymphar Pro Fusion instrument along with manual lymphatic facilitation techniques the lymph moves along specific pathways designed by nature to assist the body in healing itself.

Clients range from healthy individuals wishing to create or maintain their best immune system to those who have had surgery or received injuries involving in scar tissue, your lymph system is trying to create a new pathway for the lymph to drain.  If it does not drain into the larger pathways it may create a backup of excess lymphatic fluid causing pain and discomfort, leading to lymphedema. Correcting the flow before this happens will assist the body in self-healing before surgeries, has been found to accelerate the healing process.
